Bhagalpur district is one of the districts of Bihar, India. Other name of this place is Silk City. Bhagalpur town is located at the centre of the district. Colganj Rock Cut Temples: These rock cut temples are dates back to 5th to 7th century. Temples belongs to Gupta Period. Plenty of Jain, Buddhist, and Hindu deity’s carvings can be seen on these temples. Remains of these structures discovered from Kahalagaon and Sultanganj of Bhagalpur district.

Vaasupujya Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Mandir: It is the birth place of 12th Jain Tirthankar Vasupujya. It is located 4kms away from Bhagalpur railway station. He had 5 kalyanas. All the marriages performed here.

Mandar Hills: These are located in Bhagalpur district. These hills are located 30kms away from Bhagalpur town. On this hill, foot prints of Lord Vishnu can be seen here. Other attraction of this place is lake at this peak. It is believed that Panchajanya (Conch Shell) used in Mahabharata War was discovered here. People also say that Lord Vishnu killed the demon Madhusudana at this place.

Ghuran Peer Baba: To seek the blessings of Peer Baba, people of different religion such as Christians, Parsi, Sikhs, Muslims, and Hindus come to this place on every Friday. People believe that baba will bless with divine powers. It is located 2.2kms away from Bhagalpur town.

Budhanath Temple: This temple is located in Jogsar on the banks of river Ganga. Other name of this temple is Dudheshwar mahadev Temple. Lord Shiva is worshipped here. It was built in 17th century. In the month of August thousands of pilgrims come to this place and serves Lord Shiva with flowers, Gangajal, Bel and Milk. It is located 4.2kms away from Bhagalpur town.

Ancient Vikramsila University: This is located in the town of Vikramsila which is 38kms away from the Bhagalpur town. To teach Tantric Buddhism it is a best education centre. Dharmapala who was the king of Pala established this university. At this place along with 108 small temples, Confluence of Kosi and Ganga rivers can be seen here.
